Minimum UK training time for each specialty
If you were previously granted with a CESR/CEGPR, because your training consisted of both non-approved and approved training posts, then you trained on a combined programme, and may be eligible for retrospective grant of a CCT if you meet the below criteria: you have trained in approved UK training posts for the minimum number of years required for your specialty; or,
You trained in a specialty with no minimum training time.

Specialties with a minimum training time
- If you meet the minimum training time, then you may be eligible for the retrospective grant of a CCT.
- If you did not train in UK approved training posts for the minimum number of years stated below, you are not eligible.
This minimum training time stated is on the basis of full-time training. Those training less than full-time must meet the full-time equivalent training time.

- These are specialties where the minimum training time is listed as ‘No minimum’. If you completed a combined programme in one of these specialties, you will be eligible for the retrospective grant of a CCT.
